Dean was born in Durban, South Africa, and graduated in 1980 as an All-State Rugby and Soccer player. Following high school, he completed his mandatory national service in the South African Army and was awarded a Pro Patria medal for 18 months of service in the Namibian and Angolan War. While vacationing in the US after the army, he received a full scholarship to be a kicker for the University of Oregon Ducks football team and graduated in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science degree.
He has always been involved in the West Maui community, more recently as a Founding Member of Maui Preparatory Academy and 8-year President of the Board of Trustees. His philanthropic contributions to supporting kids and this critical community enhancement total over $500,000.
Rai was born and raised on Maui and is a graduate of the University of Hawaii, Maui campus, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Business and Information Technology. Rai has over 20 years experience in the sales and customer service industry. In those years she has learned to work with a variety of clients helping them achieve their goals in the buying process.
